My boyfriend and me just arrived in Cairns on sunday.
Obviously we want to see as much as we can but would prefer the places that aren't tourist hotspots!
like some little hidden places or other stuff.
I'd take any ideas.

I've always had my sights set on UQ, but now I'm starting to see that QUT wouldn't be such a bad option since it is closer to where I live, and also has easier OP requirements.
Do you believe that the quality of courses differ significantly between these two schools? Where would you go if you were specifically interested in law, journalism and the creative arts area?
What about a dual degree of Law and Journalism? The OP cut off rank for UQ is a 3, and for QUT it's a 5....The five looks easier to obtain, and it's closer. But UQ also has a great reputation and I've wanted to go there for ages.

So my family are going to the gold coast in November and I want to do some shopping, but know nothing about the gold coast apart from the theme parks!
We will be there 6 days, 5 for the theme parks and 1 driving down. Can anybody tell me some great malls that are open until late?
Where are they?

Can't believe this is their last year :(
I know that they are 40 years old and the air force has to replace them with more modern planes, but they are a real sight at riverfire. The low rumble and the whole sky lights up with the dump and burn.
yep, thats probably the last time ill ever see or hear one fly again :(

I might ask a question on their actual site, but I'm just asking out of curiosity since I'm not quite in Grade 12 yet. I'm sorry if you don't understand what I'm asking, but:
Say, you wanted to do a dual degree of Laws and Journalism. The cut off OP requirement for Law is 3, and the Journalism degree is an 8. The dual degree requirement is a 3, because of the low entry for the Law degree....... If you got an OP6 and opted to do a Bachelor of Journalism for a year or so to build up your rank, and then transferred through to the dual degree that you were originally hoping for - would it cut off any of the time needed for the course? Would you have to repeat the subjects that you completed again as a dual degree requirement?
I don't know if anyone could answer this, but a few teachers have given me different answers. I'm sorry if this makes no sense. An OP3 for me is looking unrealistic, due to doing Math A, but I am doing Japanese which gives you more points in the bonus scheme, so that may help; http://www.uq.edu.au/study/index.html?page=86632

I'm planing on moving to Brisbane, nothing is set in stone yet but I'm just wondering what your basic living costs in Brisbane are for electricity, phone, public transport etc. Just on an average scale.
it's easy enough to look up rentals but not currently living there so im only assuming how much i'd need to consider for a budget...
planing on having a room mate.
